Part-time Music teacher NOVEMBER 2018 START

We are now looking for a specialist Music teacher to join our Upper School team in November 2018. As an experienced teacher of music, you will teach lessons in the Upper School classes (years 9 - 11), working with the Steiner Waldorf curriculum, methodology and developmental approach. The post is for a minimum of 9 lessons per week, over two days. There is some flexibility around teaching load which may be discussed at interview.
You will be part of the teaching team pioneering the school's BTEC music provision and developing the curriculum as it lives within the Steiner Waldorf pedagogy, joining a vibrant and committed team of staff in our school set in beautiful grounds on the edge of Exeter.
The ideal candidate will have a music teaching qualification and/or extensive experience of teaching the subject, preferably in a Steiner Waldorf setting. You will also have experience of teaching children from a wide range of backgrounds, as well as a willingness to expand your own professional expertise and a sense of the pioneering initiative appropriate to a new setting.

Salary range: £7,000 - £10,000 (£22,800 FTE) for a 0.-3 to 0.5 post with some department holding responsibilities.
This is a permanent post, based on 44 weeks per year (term-time and some holiday working).
